Rat Shoe Covers- Hessle Theatre Company

I produced these rat shoe covers for Hessle Theatre Company's production of Shrek- The Musical. The base is made with EVA foam with elastic sides so that they can be removed quickly. The tail is made from silicone clay and wire so they are both stiff and flexible.

Backstage Pass Project– Tim Burton

Project: College

So that the public could see what is produced on the Production Arts course during my time at Leeds City College, we were tasked with creating an installation showing a Tim Burton character. My team member and I were given Edward Scissorhands. I created the SFX make up which consisted of latex scars, Derma wax covered eyebrows and cream make up. Along with making the Scissorhands from existing gloves and sourcing the costume from stock. With the help of my team mate, the set was sourced and adapted by painting the grass and covering the wall in ivy and cobwebs.

Royal Opera Design Challenge– Madama Butterfly

Project: College

The Royal Opera Design Challenge gives students from colleges the chance to develop and test their skills in marketing, production design and costume design. In 2015 students were given the opera Madama Butterfly to design for. Out of 4 director’s visions I chose Futuristic. I took inspiration from both traditional and modern Japanese clothing due to the idea that fashions will be repeated in the future. The fashions from the Lolita subculture was the main inspiration taken from Japanese modern clothing.
